?????New York, NY, August 2, 2012 ? There is no question that smartphones have gotten very smart over the past two years. There are endless apps for almost anything you can imagine. However, up until 7/31/12 there was no way for your smartphone to control a micro robotic pet. Today smartphones got smarter with the release of the smartphone controlled Micro CarBot from Desk Pets.

?

The Micro CarBot is the world?s 1st micro-robotic toy that navigates mazes, avoids obstacles, and is fully controllable by your iDevice or Android phone. In total there are 4 different CarBots, each a different color. Each car can operate on one of four frequencies, so you can race and battle all four cars at the same time.

?

There are four different modes for the CarBot. In one mode, you can drive and race, using your iPhone or Android phone as the controller. In another mode you battle other CarBots, firing an infrared beam to try to disable the other cars. In the third mode, the CarBot drives itself. By using built-in IR sensors the CarBot can navigate around obstacles. Finally, the fourth mode is basically a demo more. Place the CarBot on the ground and watch him go.

?

?The CarBot is a super fun little toy. We love how you can control the CarBot with your iDevice or Android device, but we also love the two modes that do not require any controller at all. Watching the CarBot find his way through a maze using his IR sensors is a blast. We can see kids and adults loving this new toy? states Dan Nessel of DadDoes.Com

?

DadDoes.Com did a full review of CarBot and found it easy to setup and use. The controls in the app are straight forward and there is very little instructions necessary. Dad Does reports that kids will be able to start playing with the Micro Car Boot within minutes of taking it out of the box.

?

Dad Does is a product review blog that focused on toys and gadgets for parents and families. While there are plenty of Dad blogs and Mom blogs, Dad Does focuses on being an objective product review blog for parents.

?

Every product that appears on the Dad Does site is first tested and reviewed in a real world setting. In addition, Dad Does produces videos for every product that they review. By making video reviews, parents have a chance to see how the toy looks and works, before spending their money on the toy.

?

Nessel concludes, ?CarBot is part car, part pet, part robot and all fun. There is some very impressive technology stuffed into the CarBot, but it is still very easy to use and simple to setup. We predict the Car Bot by Desk Pets will be a hit this holiday season, both for kids and adults.
